In the interview which went viral, Sathyabhama allegedly made derogatory remarks about Ramakrishnan’s appearance and the colour of his skin.
Following the interview, Ramakrishna filed a police complaint against Sathyabhama, alleging commission of offences punishable under the SC/ST Act.
She first moved approached the special court for anticipatory bail. However, the Court opined that the offences alleged was prima facie made out and rejected her application on April 22.
This prompted her to approach the High Court with the present appeal. She has contended that she was unaware of Ramakrishnan’s caste and that she has committed none of the offences alleged against her.
