Calcutta High Court advocates not required to wear gowns during summer

Chief Justice TS Sivagnanam instructed the Registrar General of the High Court to issue a notice to this effect after considering the ongoing heatwave in Kolkata. 

“Taking note of the weather, wearing of Advocates’ gown is exempted till the Court reopens after Summer Vacation on June 10, 2024,” the notification issued by the Registrar General reads.
