Call For Papers are invited for RV Law Journal (Volume 3; Issue 1 and Issue 2) for the year 2024. The last date of submission is May 30.

About Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust

Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) was started Eight decades ago with only six students by its first and only teacher: the founder Sri Sivananda Sharmaji. The sapling he planted in the year 1940 is today a MIGHTY TREE which is reflected in the establishment of 23 institutions offering courses ranging from Nursery to Post Graduate Level with over 2,500 staff members and around 25,000 students.

Today the alumni of RV Institutions are placed in senior positions at various National, International and Multinational Organizations. Its reach spans all sections of society – the privileged and the underprivileged, the able and the differently abled, cutting across gender and age barriers. It has also set itself apart by imparting education in the areas of specialty such as Women’s Education, Gandhian Thought and Sanskrit Language.

What also sets it apart is its emphasis on promoting Indian Culture and values through its initiatives to collect, preserve, document and exhibit antique articles, implements and other artefacts. After yeomen service to the nation today, the brand ‘RV’ is being recognized as a household name, a synonym for quality education. RV has become a part of Bengaluru Road map with a road named after it.

About RV Institute of Legal Studies

Bengaluru the Silicon Valley is known for a large number of educational institutions that offer a wide range of professional courses. There are a number of institutes that offer courses in law as well. However, there is a need to offer totally professionally legal education to cater to the globalized world. Keeping this in mind, the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) established the RV Institute of Legal Studies (RVILS) in the year 2018.

RVILS is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi and is approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. RVILS offers B.A., LL. B., & B.B.A., LL. B., 5 Year Integrated Degree Courses. We, as an institution endeavor to produce many legal luminaries in our forthcoming batches thereby contributing to the profession in itself and the society at large.

As an institution it strives to provide quality legal education to students of all sections of the society without any discrimination. Being a nascent institution, RVILS has surged progressively by motivating students to participate in various activities like International, National, State Level Moot Court Competitions, Trial Advocacy, ADR Competitions, Model UN and Mock Parliament competitions.

RVILS has provided a platform for expressing and exploring original ideas and interpretations on contemporary legal issues by publishing RV LAW JOURNAL with ISSN and organizing Nyaya Darpana Lecture Series.

About RV Law Journal

RV Law Journal is the flagship journal of RV Institute of Legal Studies. RV Law Journal is a blind peer-reviewed journal published bi-annually with ISSN 2583-5041. It provides a platform for expressing original ideas and interpretations on contemporary legal issues by professionals, academicians, researchers and students so that they will be available for posterity. The Journal was released on 21st November, 2022 and since then 4 issues have been successfully published.

About the Call for Papers

Articles, Case Comments and Book Reviews are invited for the Journal which is scheduled to be released in the upcoming editions- Volume 3 Issue 1 (to be published in the month of June, 2024) and Volume 3 Issue 2 (to be published in the month of December, 2024). There is no limitation on the choice of topic; the only requirement is that it involves legal analysis with relevance to India. The work should be original, unpublished and in consonance with the submission guidelines.

Submission Guidelines

Word Limit (excluding footnotes)

  • Long Article (5000-10000 words)
  • Short Article (2500-3000 words)
  • Case Comment (2000-2500 words)
  • Book Review (2000-2500 words)

Formatting and Citation

  • Format should be in Microsoft word (.doc or .docx).
  • Font in 12 fonts, Times New Roman with line spacing 1.5.
  • Footnotes should be in Times New Roman 10 fonts and 1 line spacing.
  • Citation format: OSCOLA.

How to Submit?

Submit the soft copy of the manuscript to rvlawjournal.rvils@rvei.edu.in along with a covering letter with the following details – Title of the paper, Specify the category (Article/Case Comment/ Book Review), Name of the Author, Designation and Institution, Email Id and Phone number.

Submission Deadline

  • For Volume 3 Issue 1 (to be published in the month of June, 2024) – 30th May, 2024.
  • For Volume 3 Issue 2 (to be published in the month of December, 2024) – 30th November, 2024.
