Justice Shrivastava was born, and did his schooling in Bilaspur. After completing his graduation from CMD College, Bilaspur, he obtained an LL.B. with gold medal from KR Law College, Bilaspur.
The judge enrolled with Madhya Pradesh Bar Council in 1987 and practiced at the District Court in Raigarh and the High Court.
He was the standing counsel for the Department of Income Tax, Muncipal Council, Raipur and Chhattisgarh State Electricity Organisations and Corporations, and was also associated with Rotary International.
Justice Shrivastava was designated as a Senior Advocate in 2005 and was elevated as a Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court in 2009.
He was transferred to Rajasthan High Court and took oath on in October, 2021.
