How to Prepare for CLAT in 2 Months?

We’re a week into April and as CLAT inches closer, it’s time to pull your socks up. With a multitude of strategies circulating around the internet, here are some things you must remember before preparing your strategy for the upcoming exam. In this article, we discuss how you can prepare for CLAT in 2 months.

Although these are tips we recommend, remember only you know where you stand with your preparation. So prioritise your needs and weaknesses accordingly!

1. Attempt as many mocks as you can

While a lot of people often differ on their stance on mocks, we believe it’s essential to attempt as many mocks as you can. Make an Excel sheet and track your progress over the last few mocks. See which section you’ve been lacking in. Analyse your scores and work on your weaknesses.

2. Working on your weakness

Let’s assume you’ve realised that you just aren’t doing well in Logical Reasoning. Pick up all the last few years’ logical reasoning papers and attempt them. Do at least 30-40 questions a day and see if your scores are increasing.

With only two months left it may be stressful to not see immediate progress but be patient with yourself. Categorise Logical Reasoning questions into types: Assumption, Logical Fallacies, Paradox and so on.

Figure out which one of these types is the one you’re having trouble with and work on that. It’s still not too late.

3. Revise

It is so important you revise your notes, especially for GK. It may be true that your mocks make you feel like you’re on track and don’t need revision. But refer back to your notes on important concepts. You have nothing to lose.

Remake your GK timelines and quiz yourself. Go through the concepts of vicarious liability and the postal rules!

4. Don’t compare

It’s easy to get bogged down by other people’s mock scores. Maybe your best friend got a 100+ and you still see yourself getting stuck at an 80+, it’s alright. Remember that your scores only really matter in the real exam, so keep practicing on your weak areas.

5. Pick up the slack and put in the time

Remember that this is the last leg of your preparation. Don’t lose sight of the end goal now. Put in 6-8 hours a day, pick up multiple topics. Revise, Practice, Analyze. Prioritise CLAT. Don’t slack off now, you’re almost at the finish line.

Stay the course! We at CLATalogue are rooting for you!
