I applied through Google Form which was forwarded by my classmate.
First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
We first met on Zoom meeting for the orientation program where Mr Ajitesh Priyadarshi Sir interacted with us and told us our role as Case Managers in Online Lokadaalats & Mediation. Then we have been added to different groups district-wise.
My group coordinator was Syani Gupta then we had a group meeting at Sama software for tasks and our responsibility.
Main Tasks
Our task was to convey the respondents on Call to solve their disputes outside the court i.e., through online Lokadalat via Sama Software.
We have to coordinate with the Mediators before every meeting with the petitioner and respondent. We have to write down everything that happened in the meeting and the same has to be updated on Sama’s website.
We had the opportunity to observe the Mediation process of alternatively solving disputes.
We had a great responsibility to try our level best to reduce the burden of the judiciary which is overburdened with pending cases, and it was great responsibility also because we were handling real-life Cases.
Work Environment
Even though it was Online we had an encouraging environment, people in my group are friendly we help each other while meetings, we respect the timings and classes of others we encourage each other for giving our precious time to Lok Adalat. It was literally a great experience for me.

Bad things
We have to be ready to work at any time of day, the respondent whom we have to call is annoying, they misunderstood us, illiterate people won’t understand it easily, some used to be angry on the petitioners we have to face it all. People generally don’t understand Lokadalats.
Sometimes petitioners used to be unavailable. Heavy workload. Within a week we have to call hundreds of people.
Anything else
It was a great opportunity for me to work with Sama who is working for the betterment of society. It teaches me about the Alternative Dispute Resolution method of meditation and how it works.
