How did you Apply?
I applied directly by emailing my application to the internship Email ID: internships@foxandmandal.co.in approximately three months in advance. I received confirmation in May.
First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, and First Impression
On the first day, there were no formal orientation procedures. Instead, we were warmly introduced to the team, given insights into the work culture, and given a comprehensive office tour.
We had the opportunity to explore the office infrastructure, including the canteen facilities. Interacting with other interns and associates further contributed to a positive first impression.
Main Tasks
During my internship, I authored an article on “WARRANTY VS. GUARANTEE,” identified warranty/guarantee clauses in Shareholders’ Agreements and differentiated between SHA & SSA for share issuance.
Supported a JV transaction involving trademarks, drafted NOCs, presented findings, drafted a money recovery notice, researched hiring Myanmar medical professionals, and assisted in cross-border M&A research.
Work Environment
The work environment was quite relaxed and had a chill-out vibe. Some days were busy and demanding, while others were more relaxed. Although there was an expectation to submit work on time, there wasn’t excessive pressure. The co-interns were incredibly supportive, fostering a collaborative atmosphere without any competitive vibes; we worked together as a team.
Good Things about the Internship
I learned immensely during this internship, not only from working with the team and partners but also from my co-interns, who came from different cities and colleges. Another highlight was the unlimited, delicious coffee available in the office.
Every day, I delved into new topics and concepts in my field, pushing myself out of my comfort zone to network and build connections with people. The office provided tea and biscuits in the morning and evening, which added to the pleasant work environment.
I thoroughly enjoyed networking and building relationships with my co-interns and colleagues. Additionally, the HR department was incredibly supportive and sweet, making the overall experience even more positive.
Bad Things about the Internship
While there were no significant drawbacks to the internship, one aspect to note is that interns shouldn’t expect work to be assigned by seniors directly.
Instead, they are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones and proactively reach out to seniors and partners to seek work opportunities. This proactive approach ensures a more engaging and enriching experience during the internship.
Monthly Stipend
6000/-
Details about the Accommodation, Commuting to the Office
The firm does not provide accommodation, so interns are required to arrange their own stay. During my internship, I stayed in a girls’ PG in N block, which was conveniently close to the office, approximately 2 km away.
Several hostels are available in the vicinity, offering various accommodation options. For commuting to the office, I often used Rapido bikes or took an auto, which made the daily commute easy and efficient.
Anything Else You Want to Share?
During my free time, I enjoyed engaging in casual conversations with my colleagues and fellow interns, which allowed me to build rapport and learn from their experiences. Sometimes, we would go for walks outside the office premises, exploring the nearby cafes and markets for a change of scenery and relaxation.
This not only helped me unwind but also provided opportunities for networking and discovering new places.
