About USLLS
Established in 2001, the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS) aimed to administer a Five Year Integrated Professional Law Course and function as an institution for advanced legal studies and has become one of India’s top law Universities. It marked a significant milestone as the first University Law School situated in close proximity to the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court, subordinate courts, commissions, tribunals, and the monitoring offices of national and international voluntary organizations.
About the Competition
The Intellectual Property Rights Cell of University School of Law & Legal Studies, GGSIPU and IPU-IPR Cell, are pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the IPR Week Paper Presentation Competition. The Paper Presentation Competition aims to encourage participants to explore and present their research findings, insights, and analyses on topics related to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Participants are expected to showcase their understanding of IPR laws, regulations, and their practical implications. Registration for the competition is absolutely free, with exciting Amazon vouchers! Winners can choose their own prizes from Amazon!
Eligibility
The competition is open to students in undergraduate, post-graduate and PhD programmes in all institutions across India, from any discipline or field of study. Participants may enter as individuals or teams, with a maximum of 2 members per team (Author + Co-author). Each participant or team may submit only one paper for consideration.
Submission Guidelines
- Submissions should be in the form of articles. The acceptable word limit should not be breached i.e., 3000-4500 words.
- Abstract must contain central research question and research design along with the proposed title and keywords (not more than 350 words).
- Co-authorship is permissible for the manuscripts, but the number of co-authors must not exceed two.
- All manuscripts must be original works of the authors. Plagiarized content beyond 15% will not be eligible for the prizes.
- Time Duration for Paper Presentation: 15 minutes in total, i.e., 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for questions & answers, and comments.
How to Submit?
Participants are requested to submit their abstracts and register for the IPR Week Paper Presentation Competition in .doc/.docx format through the following link. Participants with selected abstracts will be contacted to submit their full paper via email.
Important dates
- Final Submission Deadline: 21st April 2024
- Paper Presentations Date: 24th April 2024, 12pm onwards.
- The venue for the same will be C-412, USLLS, GGSIPU Dwarka Campus, New Delhi – 78.
Prizes
Top 3 presenters/teams will be presented with the following awards:
- Winner of Best Paper Presentation: Rs 3,000/- worth Amazon voucher
- 1st Runner-up: Rs. 2,000/- worth Amazon voucher
- 2nd Runner-up: Rs. 1,000/- worth Amazon voucher
- All the presenters appearing for the presentation will be presented with participation certificates for this competition.
