About the Job
CyberArk is seeking a full-time Legal Counsel based in Hyderabad to primarily be the focal point for all legal and compliance matters relating to our India business.
This person will work independently with representatives at all levels of seniority across our Go-to-Market and Product & Technology departments, negotiate with leading global enterprises (in both a customer-facing and procurement capacity) and support other areas of the business and assist with other projects as needed, including in the wider EMEA & APJ region.
The position will report to CyberArk’s Director of Legal, EMEA & APJ Go-to-Market and may require some international travel.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice to various departments in India and throughout the company, such as Sales and Channels, Product Management and R&D, Marketing, Human Resources and Corporate Finance
- Collaborate with the leadership team to design/implement effective HR and Compliance programmes and associated initiatives
- Manage and negotiate Indian and cross-jurisdictional commercial transactions for Go-to-Market departments, including SaaS and software license agreements, channel partner agreements and data privacy/information security schedules
- Manage and negotiate vendor agreements and support regional procurement processes for Product & Technology departments
- Contribute to the Legal Team’s internal initiatives to support CyberArk’s rapid growth, such as automation/efficiency and adoption of new technologies
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualified legal counsel with a right to practice in India and called to the Indian Bar Association
- Fluency in speaking, drafting, and negotiating in English; other language skills or dual legal qualifications an advantage
- 8+ years of experience working at a leading law firm and global technology company, ideally which sells SaaS/self-hosted software for global customers
- Familiarity with local labour/workplace laws and implementing associated policies and controls
