About the Job 

The Legal Operations Analyst supports the execution and enforcement of systems and operations to support our Global Legal Team and the Global Client Contracting Policy. This role is expected to contribute to the team’s priorities and organizational excellence aspirations by assisting our legal team in continually contributing to our operationalizing practices and updating processes.

This position is crucial for driving operations-related activities and innovation in the team, such as:

  • Updating contracts/templates/clauses in contract management systems.
  • Working and coordinating with legal team stakeholders such as attorneys, legal team squads, and other functions outside the legal team, such as local finance teams, commercial teams, and case teams.
  • Uploading of documents, processing of submissions for executed contracts by checking them against designated checklists, and completion of records within various systems allotted.
  • Upkeeping and maintaining databases through short-duration projects.
  • Helping attorneys with their contract upload-related queries.
  • Assisting in the preparation of standard metrics/ KPIs.
  • Tracking/ monitoring/ informing key stakeholders of key contractual milestones/ renewal dates.
  • Identifying areas of inefficiencies within the team processes and systems to increase the efficiency of the team through user feedback and planning.
  • Working with internal stakeholders and legal team members from time to time on ad hoc projects in the team.
  • Handling any ad hoc requests for non-standard data sets from key stakeholders.
  • Completion of all contracting requests as assigned by the Legal Team allocator and/ or Manager.
  • Coordinating for updating of any contract types/ templates/ clauses in the system.

  • Assist in setting goals for the contracting team.
  • Support the implementation of key efficiency initiatives to ensure the success of the group.
  • Build consensus and ensure that the team’s efforts align with Legal Team goals/ objectives/ aspirations.
  • Identify and develop methods to improve the productivity and efficiency of the Ops team.

Planning and Execution

  • Develop strategic and operational plans for the group, manage execution, and measure results – all done in coordination with the Manager.
  • Create and implement a feedback loop and promote continuous improvement of processes through stakeholder analysis and demand.
  • Work with SME(s) to ensure all templates/ clauses/ contracts/ etc are updated on a timely basis in the system.

    • To build playbooks and working manuals from time to time, project-based or process based.

    • To manage and keep the growing resources of the team organized and available for use.
    • To oversee system training documentation to ensure is kept up to date for key stakeholders.

    • The candidate must be a pragmatic, high-energy professional, with personal and professional self-confidence.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a business environment.
  • Experience working within the legal environment a plus.
  • Professional certifications a plus.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support the team to cater to a diverse, international set of stakeholders. Willingness to be flexible with regard to office timings to work with team members based in offices outside of India.
  • You must be able to perform successfully in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, service-oriented environment and to interpret rules and guidelines flexibly to enhance the business and in keeping with BCG’s values and culture
