About GGSIPU
Established in 1998 by the Government of NCT of Delhi under the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998, with subsequent amendments in 1999, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the first university in the region.
About USLLS
Established in 2001, the University School of Law and Legal Studies (USLLS) aimed to administer a Five Year Integrated Professional Law Course and function as an institution for advanced legal studies and has become one of India’s top law Universities.
About the Quiz Competition
This Quiz Competition is being held by the Intellectual Property Rights Cell of University School of Law and Legal Studies in collaboration with the IPU-IPR Cell on 23rd April 2024 as part of its IPR Week 2024 and will be held at the University Main Campus, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Sector 16-C, Dwarka, New Delhi.
The quiz will consist of multiple rounds on a wide range of topics related to Intellectual Property Rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and related legal frameworks, with the following qualification pattern:
- 20 teams of 2 participants in Round 1
- 10 teams in Round 2
- 5 teams in Round 3 (final)
- 3 winning pairs
Participation procedure
- Team Composition:
Each team will consist of a maximum of 2 participants.
Teams can be formed from University Students of any level interested in the field of IPR. - Registration:
Registration is mandatory for participation.
Registration deadlines will be announced in advance.
Each team must provide accurate information while filling in the registration form thorough the following link provided.
Guidelines
- Conduct Rules:
- Participants must maintain sportsmanship and respect towards other teams and the quizmaster.
- Any form of cheating, plagiarism, or disruptive behaviour will result in immediate disqualification.
- Participants must adhere to the principles of honesty, integrity, and fair play throughout the competition.
- Mobile phones, electronic devices, or any external aids are strictly prohibited during the quiz.
- Any violation of the code of conduct may lead to immediate disqualification.
- Scoring:
- Each round will have different point values, which will be clearly communicated before the round begins.
- Correct answers will earn points, while incorrect or unanswered questions will not earn any points.
- In case of a tie, tie-breaker questions may be used to determine the winner.
- Time Management:
- Participants must adhere to the time limits specified for each round.
- Failure to answer within the allotted time will result in a loss of opportunity to earn points for that question.
- Disputes and Appeals:
- If participants disagree with the quizmaster’s decision, they may appeal immediately after the question is asked.
- The quizmaster will make the final decision on any disputes or appeals.
Prizes
- Prizes will be awarded to the winning team(s) based on their overall performance.
- Prize distribution will take place at the end of the quiz.
- The Prizes are:
- 1st Prize – Rs. 2,000/- Amazon voucher
- 2nd Prize – Rs. 1,500/- Amazon voucher
- 3rd Prize – Rs. 1,000/- Amazon voucher
