National Multilingual Elocution Competition by Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: Register by April 10

Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, is organizing the Bhasha Sangam: 1st National Multilingual Elocution Competition, which is scheduled to be held on 4th May. Jamia is cordially inviting registrations for the same from students throughout India.

About University

Jamia Millia Islamia is a prestigious central university located in New Delhi, India. Originally established at Aligarh, United Provinces (present-day Uttar Pradesh, India) during the British Raj in 1920, it moved to its current location at Okhla, New Delhi in 1935.

About the Event

As the name very well suggests, this competition marks the very first National Multilingual Elocution competition of the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia.

As India now Presides over the G20 Presidentship and this event’s goal is to empower our feeling of Nationalism by expressing the same feeling but through different dialect which unites us.

We want to encourage different minds from different regions to express their thoughts and feelings in their regional language or which they took suitably.

Eligibility Criteria

Students enrolled in an undergraduate/ postgraduate course or its equivalent, conducted by any recognized college/university/institution in India are eligible to participate in the Competition.

Any college/university/institution, whose students fulfil the eligibility criteria or for exceptional circumstances have been deemed by the Organizers to be eligible for this Competition.

Registration Procedure

  • Interested teams are required to register by filling out the registration form through the link provided at the end of this post.
  • Fee – Rs 100/- (per participant).
  • The organizers would ensure and assist in smooth transactions for participants.
  • The registered participants are required to attach the screenshot of the online transaction in the google form itself. However, the fee once paid is non-refundable.
  • The receipt of the screenshot of the payment to the aforementioned bank details shall only confirm the participation of a participant in the competition. An acknowledgement of the receipt of required documents shall be mailed to the respective participant and concerned Faculty along with the participant code Number.

Awards

For each language category winners and runner up will be awarded:

  • Winner: Rs.5100/- + Trophy+ Certificate of Merit.
  • Runners up: Rs. 3100/- + Certificate of Appreciation.
  • “The Most Diverse Institution Award” will be given to institutions with maximum representation in different languages.
  • All Participants will receive Participation Certificate.

Important Dates

  • Last date of Registration: 10th April 2023
  • Preliminary Round (last date of online video submission): 10th April 2023
  • Final Round (Offline): 4th May 2023
