Parliament passing bills without discussion; did not happen during Ram Rajya: Justice Arun Mishra

On the inauguration of Ram temple, Justice Mishra said that Lord Ram has returned and been reinstated to his rightful place at Ayodhya now.

“His janmasthan is now rightfully again part of our collective civilisation. He was maryada purushottam (most dignified man) and his values are relevant and alive even today. No one is more inspirational,” he stated.

He further opined that Ram was a protector of human rights and Hindu religion or sanatana dharma (eternal faith) has the power to assimilate all faiths.

“We all should aim to live and become like Ram, who is the protector of human rights. Sanatan Dharma has the power to assimilate all faiths. This is it’s strength not weakness. Our Constitution protects these values of Ram Rajya.”

He also called for an egalitarian society which is not divided by caste.

“Nowadays we are divided by caste; Ram believed in caste-less society,” he said

Justice Mishra also underlined that Ram’s message is peace for all and reminded the audience that India never invaded any other country or destroyed any culture.

“We are seeing deaths and destruction in the world; Ram’s message for peace is all the more relevant now. Bharat never invaded a country or destroyed any culture. We are among the peaceful countries that respects international law in line with our cultural heritage.”

He also touched upon the environmental concerns faced by today’s world.

“Nowadays we are destroying flora and fauna through use of plastics. These did not happen in Ram Rajya, which will be beneficial if it spreads in the whole world. One day it will definitely happen that everyone lives in love and harmony and all the constitutional goals are achieved….We all are worried about our environment today,” he stated.
