Plea in Delhi High Court challenges blocking of Hindutva Watch, India Hate Lab websites in India

The Court was then told that in similar circumstances in the case of satirical website Dowry Calculator, a Division Bench of the High Court had permitted post-decisional hearing and also directed that a copy of the original blocking order, after redacting the portion pertaining to the third parties, be furnished to the petitioner.

During the hearing, the counsel appearing for the Central government had submitted that a post-decisional hearing was offered but the same could not be availed because Hameed was not available in the country.

The second post-decisional hearing can be given to the Petitioner if the Petitioner can appear virtually to attend the hearing. Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondent No.1 directed to take instructions on the aforesaid,” the Court had ordered on April 25.

Today, the Court in the plea against the blocking of websites passed a similar order.
