Primary duty of judge is to write judgment understandable by litigant and not higher court: Chief Justice N Kotiswar Singh

In her address, Justice Sharma said that the qualities of a judge are to hear courteously, to answer wisely, to consider soberly and to decide impartially.

“A judge must consider the arguments and claims put forth by the parties while deciding a case and writing a judgment,” she emphasised.
