The appointment is for a period of 5 years or till he attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier.
The chairperson’s post at the IBBI has been vacant since September 30 last year when Dr. MS Sahoo retired after completing his five-year tenure.
During this interim period, Navrang Saini, a whole-time member of the IBBI had been given the additional charge as the chairperson.
