Suspension of Twitter account: Delhi High Court imposes ₹25,000 costs on petitioner who wanted to make Elon Musk party to case

At the outset, single-judge Justice Yashwant Varma asked the petitioner if they want to prosecute the application.

As the counsel said that they have instructions to go ahead with it, the judge dismissed the application noting that the Twitter was already represented in the matter.

“This application is thoroughly misconceived. The authority is represented and therefore, there was no need to move this application. The application is dismissed with a cost of 25,000,” the court ordered.

Senior Advocate Sajan Poovayya appeared for Twitter and opposed impleading of Elon Musk.
