At a press meet for the promotion of Leo, Khan had made misogynistic comments on the lines that while both Trisha and he were part of the film, he did not get to share screen space with Trisha, and had no “bedroom scenes” with her.
Khan’s statement had led to severe backlash and actors such as Chiranjeevi, Khushbu Sundar, Trisha, and makers of Leo had condemned such statement via posts on X.
The Chennai police had subsequently registered an FIR against Khan after the National Commission for Women took suo moto cognizance of the actor’s statement.
