First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
There were no formalities as such. I just had to give an introduction to everyone.
Main tasks
During my friend’s time at KS Legal, he was given different types of work. He was asked to make reports on the developments in various areas of law and present them.
He also assisted in case law research. The interns were also given to write articles on topics allotted. Overall, the work had variety and covered different areas.
Work environment
Ms. Sonam Chandwani, the managing partner of the firm, made the interns comfortable with the work we would be given and what sort of results they expected. She is a great mentor who is strict with work and deadlines but also very understanding.
She also makes sure that the environment is not always serious and that the interns have fun during the internship as well. Other associates of the firm were also good, and the interns were able to learn and enhance their skills.
Good things
The work is rigorous, and you would understand the pressure and workload in law firms, which is good because an internship should let you experience how it would be to work there and learn. My friend enjoyed his time there, even if the pressure got him some time.
Bad things
There are no bad things as such. However, a few co-interns had to do multiple follow-ups for their certificates.
Stipend
No stipend.
Details about accommodation and commute
This was an online/virtual internship.
Anything else?
Overall a good experience.
