AAP passing the buck on stubble burning. Air we breathe isn’t a political football

Fed up with instability, and fearful of Arab-Jewish violence, Israelis have re-electd a prime minister facing trial for bribery and fraud. Benjamin Netanyahu promises stability and security. To deliver, he’ll have to tame his extreme-Right coalition partners. Failure will fuel internal tensions, and imperil Israel’s strategic ties with Arab states.

AAP is being disingenuous, passing the buck and kicking the can down the road on stubble burning by Punjab’s farmers. Agreed, Punjab’s new government couldn’t have eliminated this in six months. But how does it explain 19% increase? AAP should be sincere. The air we breathe isn’t a political football.
