Janjgir-Champa, Aug 3 (PTI) Two women were killed and another was injured after being struck by lightning in a village in Chhattisgarh’s Janjgir-Champa district on Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place around 11 am when the three women were working in an agriculture farm amid rainfall in Bargaon village under the Pamgarh police station limits, a senior official said.
Two of them, identified as Babita Turkani (35) and Dhan Bai Kashyap (40), died on the spot, while the third, Heera Bai Lahre (50), who sustained burn injuries, was rushed to a community health centre in Pamgarh, he said.
