16 months after its last fundraise, Uniphore has raised $140 million/ INR 1,023.6 crore in a Series D funding round. The company will focus on Artificial Intelligence-based applications following their acquisition of “Emotion Research Labs”, which was announced earlier in 2021. Other sectors that it will focus on include Robotic Process Automation (RPA).The round-in has been led by Sorenson Capital Partners, a United States-based investor. Other participants in this round include Sanabil Investments and Serena Capital.
Uniphore was founded in 2008 by Ravi Saraogi and Umesh Sachdev, both alumni of Jaypee University of Information Technology. The company is a conversational service automation platform, with a focus on the digital transformation of companies.
