Zigly is India’s first tech-enabled Omni-channel pet care platform, and we are using the power of technology to change the current pet care industry in India. While we are available offline in Delhi, and will soon open stores in different metro cities as well; our website is a one-stop solution where one can easily buy products, book appointments for Veterinary services, book grooming sessions for their pets, and much more. We are also soon coming up with an app, which will include all the features mentioned above and some value-added features for our customers.
How technology is helping Zigly to deliver highly specialized products and services?
What we are doing with technology is providing reliable services of trained professionals for your pets, when you sit comfortably at home. You can order a grooming session for your fur buddies, with just a click on your Smartphone. In emergencies, one can easily take online veterinary consultations with trained veterinarians. This is a revolution in itself since earlier, there were several hassles that pet parents had to face due to the lack of online facilities which could be trusted.
Tell us about your expansion plans? When & where are you planning to launch experience centres?
We have launched our first Experience Center in Delhi and a website pan India. Spread over an area of 6,000-sqft, the experience center is inbuilt with a retail area for wide-ranging products, including nutritional supplements and hygiene products, treats and toys as well as accessories and, dedicated sections for grooming, spa, consultation, pathology, vaccination, and pet treatments.
Very soon we will have Zigly App and experience centers across all metros. We plan to open 150 stores across the country in the next five years.
How are you expecting the year 2022 to be for the pet care industry?
In the past decade, India has seen a multifold increase in pet ownership, owing to rising disposable income largely in the middle class, more nuclear families, rapid urbanization, and the changing attitude of people towards humanizing pets as part of the family. In India, it is estimated to grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 17 percent in comparison with a global rate of 5.2 percent.
This growth is going to play well with us as well, and we are looking at healthy growth with more offline stores in major metro cities already in the pipeline. We are looking at revenues close to 500 cr. in the coming 5 years
Though Zigly is a 3-month-old business, how are you funded, are you planning to raise more funds in the coming future?
While Zigly is a new business, it is backed by strong investors and the brand Cosmo Films Limited. The business has already started to see healthy growth, and with time, we are expecting to start funding operations through the earned profits.
Talking about raising funds for the company, we are not currently looking at raising any funds at the current moment, but we can certainly evaluate investments from knowledgeable partners in the foreseeable future.
Tell us about the story behind its inception, what is the core vision of the brand?
Pet care is one of the fastest-growing categories. Demand for Expert services & Quality products are growing in the market and with Zigly, we aim to bridge this. We are providing several unique services like grooming, veterinary care, behaviour training, pathology, and pet products, all under one roof. Zigly will also prove to be an effective platform for people who wish to be trained for all pet-related activities like behaviour training, grooming, pet walking, and more.
We envision becoming one of the largest brands for pet care products and services not just in India, but across the world.
What products and services does Zigly provide?
We provide a wide array of Products, Vet consultations, & quality grooming services via offline and online channels. While there are several other players in the pet care industry, our USP lies in the fact that we are India’s first tech-enabled platform which will prove to be a one-stop solution for pet parents for any of their needs, be it grooming, products, or veterinary care.

What is the current size of the pet care market in India?
India is the fastest-growing pet care market with home to about 20 million pet dogs and about 19 million other pets. The Petcare category is growing with a CAGR of 17% & hence the category is open for up-gradation & innovative ideas. We see a lot of potential with Zigly since this is India’s first tech-enabled portal for everything pets.
