Patta Gobhi Aloo Sabzi

This is one dish which i make at least once a week. Actually I would say atleast twice a week. Because hubby loves it, i love it and every one in the family loves it. This taste great with rice, rasam, sambar rice, curd rice or anything you name it.

Cabbage, also known as gobhi, is one of India’s most beloved vegetables. It’s made up of a lot of leaves, each one covering the other. Cabbage is a light green and white vegetable that is very easy to prepare. Cabbage is used in Indian cuisine to make sabzis, parathas, pulao, salads, and snacks such as pancakes and muthia. Cultivated cabbage varieties spread from Europe to Asia and the Americas. It was introduced to India by Portuguese colonisation traders during the 14th and 17th centuries, and it was unknown in Japan until the 18th century. Cabbage Aloo Sabzi is a basic North Indian stir fry. Cabbage is a low-calorie, healthful vegetable that can be used as a diet food or to lose weight. Everyone can swallow it with ease.

Ingredients for Cabbage Aloo Sabzi

Cabbage :

While cooked cabbage absorbs the flavours of the other foods it is combined with, raw cabbage has a distinct and harsh flavour. Because there are so many various types of cabbage, the flavour will vary. While most cabbage is bitter, you can occasionally discover cabbage that is sweet.

In most plant food sources, a cooked potato has relatively high quantities of umami compounds, chemicals that produce a pleasant savoury taste.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.
