Chorafali Recipe

This is a very new snack for me. When i was hunting for diwali recipes. I came across this one and it immediately caught my eyes. I made it at once and it was a hit.  This one is pretty easy to make, but it taste really delicious. It is all fluffy and crispy. A different experience when you taste it. Try this unique snack from gujarat this diwali and hope you will enjoy it.

Ingredients for Chorapali

  • Besan Flour / Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu
  • Urad Dal powder / Ulundu Mavu 
  • Salt 
  • Baking Soda 
  • Oil 
  • Wheat flour 
  • Chilli Powder 
  • Black Salt 
  • Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder

Chorafali Preparation

  1. Take gram flour, urad dal mavu, salt, baking soda and mix well. 
  2. Take water and heat it till warm, add in oil and pour this over the flour and knead well till it gets smooth. Set aside for 10 mins.
  3. Take dough in a board, sprinkle with wheat flour and roll it thin.
  4. Cut it into strips.
  5. Heat oil for deep frying and drop in hot oil. It will puff up.
  6. Fry till crispy and remove it. Sprinkle with spice powder mix and serve.
