Paneer Pav Bhaji

Paneer pav bhaji is one recipe which i made few weeks back and loved it to the core. Many recipe crumbled in the paneer into the mix and make this. but this is how i had in a restaurant here and it was delicious.

About Pav Bhaji

Pav bhaji is an Indian fast food meal made up of a thick vegetable curry (bhaji) and a soft bread bun (pav). Its origins can be traced back to Maharashtra, India. The dish started out as a quick lunch for Mumbai textile mill workers. Pav bhaji was eventually served in restaurants all throughout town. Pav bhaji is currently available in India and beyond, from street vendors to fine dining establishments.

The origins of Pav Bhaji can be traced back to the American Civil War in the 1860s. Cotton was in high demand as a result of the civil war. As a result, the merchants at the Bombay cotton market were extremely busy, particularly late at night when new cotton rates were telegraphed from America.

As a result, they would arrive home late, and their irritated wives would refuse to serve them. So, to fix this problem, street merchants gathered leftover bread from Jesuit priests and mixed all of the vegetables together, mashed them together, and served them with bread and butter. As a result, pav bhaji (bread with veggies) was born.

The key for this is to use generous butter, it makes it more tasty and delicious. Loved it piping hot with bhaji.

Ingredients for Paneer pav bhaji

Potato : In most plant food sources, a cooked potato has relatively high quantities of umami compounds, chemicals that produce a pleasant savoury taste. Unlike most vegetables, potatoes absorb water instead of losing it during cooking when their cell walls relax and release moisture.

Kashmiri Chilli Powder : The vivid red colour and mild fruity burn of Kashmiri chilli powder are well-known. Use Kashmiri chilli powder to give a meal a gorgeous crimson hue without the mouth-numbing intensity.

Beetroot : The sweetness of the beetroot pairs well with the spiciness, resulting in a flavour that is well-balanced and delightful.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.
