  • Seminar on ‘Rights of Senior Citizens’ organized by Haryana Legal Services Authority was hosted by Manav Rachna University. The Campaign was launched by Hon’ble Justice Mr Deepak Misra, the then Chief Justice of India amidst an erudite panel of judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana.  
  • Experts’ Workshop on Criminal Prosecution was organized by Haryana Police in collaboration with Manav Rachna University. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Mr Justice J Chelameswar, Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
  • Law Week Celebrations: School of Law commemorates Law Day, which is celebrated on 26th November throughout the country. This coincides with the ‘LAW WEEK’ celebrated with the School of Law which sees lectures, workshops and competitions for students. 
  • Legal Aid at Annual Surajkund Fair: School of Law, partnered with the Computer Committee of High Court of Punjab and Haryana for the E-courts project and participated in E-awareness campaign at the annual Surajkund Fair.

Internship

The internship is a crucial part of the five years BA. LLB, BBA. LLB & B.COM LLB Programme at School of Law, Manav Rachna University, governed by the Bar Council of India.

As per the norms of the Bar Council of India, students need to undertake 20 weeks of internship during the BA. LLB, BBA. LLB & B.COM LLB. course. The School of Law, MRU, is privileged to facilitate internships regularly with well-known practicing advocates, legal firms, regulatory bodies, judiciary, police, and bureaucracy for internship opportunities. 

The internship aspires to widen the student’s perspective by providing exposure to real-life organizational, legal and environmental situations. This will enable the students to explore an industry/organization, build a relationship with a prospective employer (advocate), or hone their skills in a familiar field.

The internship also provides invaluable knowledge and networking experience to the students. Some of the notable internships secured by the students are National Human Rights Commission, Escorts, Justice M.L Mehta, Justice Kailash Gambhir, Office of ASG of India, Additional CGM/Civil Judge-Meerut, District Legal Services Authority, Faridabad, Supreme Court Advocate on Record.
