CPJ’s plea has challenged the Constitutional validity of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance, 2020, and the Uttarakhand Freedom of Religion Act, 2018, which regulate religious conversions of people in interfaith marriages.
