Since the NHAI and the firm did not take steps to redress the grievance of the complainant, the Commission concluded that deficient service was apparent.
Hence, the Commission directed them to pay an amount of ₹10 to the complainant along with ₹5,000 towards compensation for causing mental agony and physical hardship, and further ₹3,000 towards litigation expenses.
