BJP leader files defamation case against Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi

Kapoor argued that every time the Enforcement Directorate (ED) approached the AAP leader, they said that BJP was trying to poach AAP MLAs but these allegations are false and no material has been furnished by AAP to substantiate the claims.

He said that through these allegations, AAP is trying to divert attention from the Delhi excise policy case.

In his plea, Kapoor referred to a post on X (Twitter) by Kejriwal on January 27, 2024 and a press conference conducted by Atishi on April 2, 2024.

Kejriwal’s tweet had alleged that BJP had contacted 7 AAP MLAs. It also alleged that BJP was offering ₹25 crores to poach the MLAs and efforts were being made to bring down the Delhi government.

He also said that the moment Atishi’s name surfaced in the excise policy case, she also made the same allegations to divert the attention from the “real issue”.
