The decision was taken after the government received representations highlighting the difficulties faced by many students in taking the exam since it would be clashing with the dates of counselling for NEET PG 2021.
A communication issued to the National Board of Examination (NBE) by Central government also highlighted that many are yet to complete their mandatory internships which got delayed.
“The Hon’ble HFM has taken the decision to postpone the NEET by 6 to 8 weeks or suitably,” the communication said.
