Call for Chapters for Book on Law of Corporate Finance in India: Submit by April 15

Manuscripts are invited for the Book on Law of Corporate Finance in India. The book will be published (with ISBN) by the renowned publication house Taxmann Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, in electronic format.

About the Book

Corporate Finance deals with how companies acquire resources, in form of funds, either internally or externally. This is mainly done via two modes, equity and debt. The Law of Corporate Finance prescribes the legal structure which includes; the rules for the corporate players in management of their finances, functioning of market regulators, investor protection, and the role of intermediaries.

Presently, the readings and resources in Corporate Finance Law are scattered thereby causing inconvenience to the knowledge seekers.

The conceptual links between the available resources seems to be missing owing to absence of a collated material dedicated to Law of Corporate Finance in India. With this handbook the editors seek to fill this gap and provide a comprehensive ready-reckoner thereby contributing to the literature in the concerned theme.

The concepts relating to and the legal regime prevailing for Corporate Finance in India constructs the central theme of the work.

The book will collate texts on various aspects of corporate finance in form of chapters, including international/cross-border perspectives. The text of the book would consist of explanatory, analytical, evaluative, and comparative studies contributed by the authors. The book would be helpful for everyone who desires to learn or earn in the field of Corporate Finance.

Authors shall abide by these guidelines while writing the manuscript:

Formatting Guidelines

  • Headings:
    Font Style: Times New Roman; Font Size: 14; Case: UPPERCASE; Alignment: Centre Aligned;
  • Sub-Headings:
    Font Style: Times New Roman; Font Size: 12; Case: UPPERCASE; Alignment: Left Aligned;
  • Body:
    Font Style: Times New Roman; Font Size: 12; Spacing: 1.5; Text Alignment – Justified;
  • Footnotes:
    Font Style: Times New Roman; Font Size: 10; Spacing: 1;
  • Footnote and References Format – Harvard Bluebook, 20th Ed.
  • Font Color – Black.

Content Guidelines

  • The Manuscript shall include an abstract of 300-400 words and at-least 3 keywords.
  • The Manuscript should be of 4000-8000 words, inclusive of footnotes.
  • The author(s) shall ensure that the information mentioned in the manuscript is correct.
  • Author(s) bio-file must be attached at the end of the manuscript; whereas the author(s) must also write their names below the Title of the Chapter.
  • The submitted Manuscript must be unpublished and original work of the author(s);
  • Similarity index of the contents of the manuscript shall not be more than 10% (wherein, footnotes, citations, bibliography and quoted text will not be counted for the purposes of plagiarism check);

Submission Guidelines

  • A Maximum of 3 authors may submit a manuscript jointly.
  • Author(s) are requested to turn in their manuscript latest by 15th of April, 2022.
  • Submission is to be made via the google form available here.
  • Please note that, NO CHARGE SHALL BE LEVIED AS PUBLICATION FEE to author(s) at any stage of the publication.
