CfP: National Conference on Medical Law Policy and Ethics by GNLU, IMA-GSB [Offline; Jan 6-7, 2024]: Submit by Sept 30

Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar (GNLU) in collaboration with the Indian Medical Associations – Gujarat State Branch (IMA-GSB), is organizing the National Conference on Medical Law, Policy and Ethics “MEDLAWCON 2024” on 6th and 7th January 2024 at GNLU, Gandhinagar campus in offline mode. 

About GNLU

The Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) is a pre-eminent public law school and a National Law University established under the Gujarat National Law University Act, 2003 in the state of Gujarat. The university is located at Gandhinagar, which is the capital of Gujarat and is located 23 kilometers north of the city of Ahmedabad. The statute provides for the Chief Justice of India or a Senior Supreme Court Judge to serve as the Visitor of the university.

About IMA-GSB

Indian Medical Association is the only representative, national voluntary organization of Doctors of the Modern Scientific System of Medicine, which looks after the interest of doctors as well as the well-being of the community at large.

Today, I.M.A. is a well-established organisation with its Headquarters at Delhi and State / Terr. Branches in 29 States and Union Territories. It has over 2,15,000 doctors as its members through more than 1650 active local branches spread all over the country.

About the Conference

Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in collaboration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Indian Medical Association (IMA), is organizing a groundbreaking conference on Medical Law, Policy, and Ethics. This conference aims to bring together legal professionals, medical practitioners, scholars, policymakers, and stakeholders from various fields to engage in meaningful discussions and address the critical issues at the intersection of medicine, law, policy, and ethics.

Submission Guidelines

  • Co-authorship of up to 3 is allowed (Registration is separate for each participant).
  • Number of Papers per Participant: One participant can present only one paper.

Formatting Guidelines

  • Proposal/Abstract: 500 words [The proposal should ONLY highlight the significance of the topic, objectives, and methodology to be adopted for the conduction of the study].
  • The participants can follow Times New Roman font with size and 1.5 line spacing.

Registration Details

Registration Fee

  • For Presenter
    • Professionals: Rs. 2000/-
    • Students: Rs.1500/-
  • For Non-Presenter: Rs.1000/-

Note: Only candidates whose abstract/proposal has been shortlisted will be required to register as a presenter and pay the registration fee.

  • Communication of selection: October 5, 2023
  • Registration: October 5- 20, 2023
  • Full Paper Submission: December 5, 2023
