A Division Bench of Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi and Justice S R Krishna Kumar noted that as the city is divided into eight zones and there are numerous road-cutting operations being undertaken by multiple agencies, the BBMP and American Road Technology Ltd should identify the agencies involved in the same for each area and conduct a joint deliberation for an action plan to repair the roads zone-wise.
During the previous hearing, the High Court had directed that various agencies involved in road-cutting be impleaded in the case, so that they can take some responsibility and road work could be coordinated effectively. The agencies were, thereafter, impleaded in the present matter.
