The CJI was speaking at the Constitution Day event held at the Supreme Court.
During his speech, he said that the Constitution includes social, cultural and religious aspects in its goal to achieve a democratic society.
“Constitution does not force its citizens to choose between their rights or culture. Rather it includes the social, cultural and religious aspects in its goal to achieve a democratic society,” he said.
