The former CJI had recently told in an interview that he wouldn’t be averse to taking up government appointments like National Human Rights Commission Chief, Lokpal, or Law Commission Chief, after retiring as the CJI.
Pertinently, he had also expressed his proclivity to teach law.
“I would love to do some law teaching at various levels. Maybe the National Judicial Academy as a resource person. Go to some of the law schools as visiting Professor,” he had stated.
