In his speech, Justice Gavai stressed on the fact the CJI Chandrachud is known for his inclusiveness, and stresses on facilitating representation of all sections of society, especially women and marginalised citizens.
“Our Constitution has guaranteed right to justice, both political and social justice, and also right to speedy justice. Thus, I am sure under the dynamic leadership of CJI Chandrachud, the family of judiciary from Supreme Court to magistrate courts, will make every attempt to ensure that the grievance of the citizens for getting justice speedily and at minimum cost, will be achieved. We will all see a remarkable change in Indian judiciary during his term,” he said.
