How did you Apply?

I have sent the cover letter with my resume to apply for the vacancy of the interns.

First-Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

First day, I had a meeting with all the other interns in the office. Had applied for the gate pass in the Court to see the proceedings of the court on the same day. The infrastructure was nice everything was comforting, and it was well well-managed day, everything was done as per the decided program schedule.

Main Tasks

To see the proceedings of the Court, observe the cases and study the same, be part of the discussion on a daily basis, help the seniors in their work related to research, study of cases, etc., to prepare case summaries, briefing of the files on the regular basis, etc.

Work Environment

Wonderful and comforting environment, everyone there was so dedicated to their profession, an energetic aura, There was a healthy relationship between the juniors and seniors, and cooperation, accountability, equity, &, trust between all the people working there, were appreciable.

Good things

Have learned how to study cases, and how courts actually work in reality, come to know what are the difficulties with the courts in the disposal of cases and what is the problem with the parties reaching the right place at the right time. It is well said, that “justice delayed is just denied”. It was quite visible in the proceedings of the court. After getting into this internship, have realized that if everyone works seriously and with all the dedication at their level, the result would be the best for the needy ones.

Bad things

Didn’t have any earlier experience in this kind of work, so it was quite difficult to get the things at first instance and hence it took time for me to catch the things and get the work in fast mode. Another thing was that there were interns from different institutions some of them from Deemed University and others from Traditional University, so it was quite difficult to make a consensus between the two while working, as we both have different cultures of studies.

Accommodation & Conveyance to Office

I had stayed in PG near the Court and preferred the metro train or Uber auto to reach the Supreme Court or the Chamber. For food, I prefer restaurants on a regular basis. It (the city) was convenient in all manner, whether for lodging or for food. Transportation was all good, no problem was there in reaching the Court or the Chamber in a time.

Stipend

No stipend.
