About
The National Law University Tripura invites applications from academically innovative, research-driven and self-motivated applicants for the position of Visiting Faculty on a contractual basis, up to six months commencing from April, 2024. The position is open for teaching both on-campus in-person teaching and online teaching. The visiting faculty is invited to teach the following courses and programs at NLU Tripura:
- Economics
- Sociology
- Company Law/Corporate Law
- Family Law
- Transfer of Property Law
- Jurisprudence
- Labour Laws
Eligibility
- A Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed), in case of General Category applicants. And a relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Differently-abled categories for the purpose of eligibility and assessment of the applications for the Visiting Faculty position.
- Applicants with a Ph.D. degree or those enrolled as Ph.D. Scholars in any reputed university in India or abroad will be preferred o National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SETNET, will be considered optional in case of the selection of Visiting Faculty is not mandatory.
- Candidates with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English will be given a preference.
- Candidates who have experience of teaching in the National Law Universities will be preferred.
Responsibilities
- Delivering lectures and conducting classroom exercises for the assigned courses.
- Providing tutorial classes and being available for student consultations.
- Drafting question papers and evaluating answer scripts.
- Conducting viva-voice or presentations for the class projects, as applicable.
