Justice Nikhil S Kariel transfer: CJI DY Chandrachud says will examine objections raised by Gujarat lawyers, asks them to end strike

The CJI having heard the concerns of the Bar and assured the lawyers that their objections will be looked into.

“The CJI has assured the representatives of the Bar that the issues raised would be duly examined but strongly conveyed that since such assurance has been given, the advocates should not abstain from work,” the statement said.

However, the GHCAA has not taken any call yet on ending the protests.

“We are not calling off our strike as of now. It will be decided tomorrow (Tuesday) at the General Body meeting of Gujarat bar at 10 am where the collegium decision will be discussed,” confirmed advocate Hardik Brahmbhatt, GHCAA Secretary.
