Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law is organizing their National Law Fest of 2022- ‘Lex Communique’ to be held virtually from April 16 to 17, 2022.

About the Organiser

Lex Communique – 2022 is a 3-Day Annual National Law Fest of Thakur Ramnarayan College of Law, Mumbai. It aims to provide a platform to the students’ community to communicate, deliberate and intermingle to nurture and showcase their flair and skills.

Lex Communique 2022 will be organized from April 16-17, 2022 virtually this year.

Details about the Event of the Fest

Bail Application and Argumentation Competition

TRCL Moot court association is organizing the first national bail application and argumentation competition. In this competition, new knowledge and experience are acquired by combining previous experience, legal information and practical uses. It connects the law students to real court experience.

The Bail Application and Argumentation competition experience will help the law students to develop the ability to identify the legal subject, arrange various law material, plead arguments, the nature of the judicial system of India and answering the questions raised by the other side. This Competition will develop an art which will follow the student for the rest of his professional life.

Vidhi Chhatra Sansad (National Debate Competition)

The essence of law lies in the process of law making i.e. legislation. TRCL is the pioneer of Vidhi Chhatra  Sansad i.e. Law Students Parliament. Vidhi Chhatra Sansad is the platform to train the students in the process of law-making, discussions on important socio-legal issues and contributing intellectually on its solution.

Eligibility

National Bail Application Drafting Competition

Students who are studying L.L.B Three Year or L.L.B Five Year course, are eligible to participate in this competition.

National Debate Competition

  • Students enrolled in 3 year or 5-year law course.
  • Participants must enroll in teams/groups of 2 students.
  • Passionate about current issues.

Team Composition

A minimum of one to maximum three teams per college shall be admissible. Each team shall consist of 2 participants.

For the purpose of having an efficient competition, there is a cap of only 30 teams on the first-come-first-serve basis who shall participate in this competition.

  • Registration amount: Early Bird – Rs. 1500/- valid till April 1, 2022
  • Regular fee: Rs. 2000/- valid till April 7, 2022.

Fees for Debate Competition

  • Early Bird Amount: Rs. 600/- (Valid till 1 April 2022)
  • Regular Amount: Rs. 800/- (Valid till 7 April 2022)

Deadlines (For Bail Application)

  • Clarifications regarding the bail problem will be submitted by April 1, 2022.
  • All the teams will have to draft the bail application and reply and mail it to trclbailapplication@gmail.com on or before April 10, 2022 11:59 PM.
  • The Draw of Lots shall be conducted: April 15, 2022
  • Any team who wishes to submit a compendium can mail the same of trclbailapplication@gmail.com on April 13, 2022.
