The AG stressed the need for some drastic measures while pointing out that there were 4.2 million pending cases in district judiciary.
“How has justice delivery system deteriorated so much?” he pondered.
He drew attention to the data that showed 5,000 vacancies among 24,000 judges in the lower judiciary. In this light, he said,
“Something drastic has to be done.”
