Relief to Mumbai Metro One from Bombay High Court over alleged ₹2,500 crore property tax dues

BMC had also issued warrants of attachments against MMOPL which the company challenged in the present petition.

MMOPL stated that since the warrants were issued against them and BMC did not provide for any exemption, the company had no option but to move the High Court through the present writ petition.

It sought quashing of the warrants and a stay on the same during the pendency of the case.

The plea also sought directions to BMC to comply with the State government’s directions of 2018 which provided for withdrawing all notices.

MMOPL also prayed for an order restraining BMC officials from raising any demands towards municipal taxes or charges and taking action in that regard.
