About the Organiser
RGNUL Financial and Mercantile Law Review (RFMLR), first published in the year 2014, is a bi-annual, student-run, blind peer-reviewed law journal. It was set up as an academic initiative to promote research and debate in areas of financial and economic law. The Review looks to understand the legal paradigm prevalent in India and South East Asia and how it affects finance and other cross-border mercantile activities. The Editorial Board of RFMLR also operates the RFMLR Blog at www.rfmlr.com.
RFMLR is indexed on SCC Online and has been ranked among the top most accessed Law Reviews by SCC Online.
About the Workshop
The Editorial Board of RFMLR is organising a Workshop on “Demystifying M&A Transactions – Exploring the Nuances Beyond Theory”. The resource person for the Workshop is Mr. Pratika Shankar, Managing Associate at Talwar Thakore & Associates (TT&A).
About the Topic
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) are particularly well-known categories of transactions in the corporate world that involve complex agreements and require navigation through complicated regulatory challenges. The nuances involved in such multifaceted arrangements can therefore only be understood through a discussion on its various practical aspects and with the use of practical scenarios. The workshop attempts to do the same and brings forward these aspects in a comprehensive and structured dialogue.
About the Resource Person
Mr. Pratika Shankar graduated from the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in 2013 with exceptional academic laurels and extra-curricular achievements. He has more than 8 years of experience of working with national and multinational corporations in the field of Corporate, M&A, and Private Equity.
