New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off five Vande Bharat trains in Bhopal Tuesday, two for Madhya Pradesh which goes to polls later this year.
Modi inaugurated the trains – five in one day for the first time – from Bhopal’s Rani Kamalapati railway station.
These semi high-speed trains will run between Bhopal-Jabalpur, Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore, Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai, Dharwad-Bengaluru and Hatia-Patna.
“These trains will improve connectivity in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Bihar and Jharkhand,” Modi had tweeted on Monday.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will address 3,000 BJP workers selected from its countrywide units who have greatly contributed in empowering booths under the party programme — “Mera Booth Sabse Majboot”.
Modi will also virtually interact with 10 lakh booth-level workers on the occasion.
