In today’s featured cartoon, Sandeep Adhwaryu draws on International Yoga Day (Tuesday, 21 June) — and alludes to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘bulldozer governance’ — while referring to the ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra where a rebellion by dozens of MLAs led by senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde is threatening the survival of the tripartite Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Alok Nirantar also comments on the crisis in Maharashtra, while implying a possible connection between Shiv Sena rebel Eknath Shinde and the opposition BJP led by ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis. The BJP is treading cautiously as it watches developments ensue.
