Rs 14,000 crore has been sanctioned for 3.16 lakh MSMEs in the state with almost 1.5 lakh people linked to the sector benefitting.
WHILE addressing the election rally in Puducherry on March 30, PM Modi highlighted that INR 14,000 crore has been sanctioned for over 3 lakh MSMEs in the state with 1.5 lakh people linked directly to the sector.
The MSME sector contributes about 30 percent to India’s growth numbers. It is also singlehandedly responsible for creating 11 crore employment opportunities in India. 2020 has been a tumultuous year for the MSME sector. The sector took a massive hit amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, with numerous surveys showing that the disruptions had impacted earnings by as much as 50%.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said that NDA government is committed to doing all that needs to be done, in order to ensure the growth of the MSME sector.
