Registrar in-charge at MNLU Dr Pratapsinh Salunke confirmed the approval of the policy and said,
“This is an initiative to ensure inclusivity and also to take a step further in gender justice. These leaves are essential and all educational institutions should be progressive and pragmatic. Students at MNLU Mumbai have started availing the benefit under these leaves already.
The Student Bar Association has also taken the initiative to raise awareness about menstrual health, access to menstrual hygiene products on campus, and counseling services for students experiencing menstrual-related issues, and the University is also supporting them.”
