How did you apply for the internship?
I applied for the internship through this email: internships.ylcc@gmail.com
First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
There was a test task after the interim confirmation of the internship.
After that the final selection took place.
There was a video conferencing call, where I, along with my fellow interns were given a brief of what the aim of the startup is and what work we have to undergo during the internship.
Main Tasks
I was asked to choose one area of law among many given choices, such as sports law. marine law, space law, etc.
I chose sports law.
The tasks revolved around legal research. Sometimes, I was also asked to write articles regarding different topics on sports law.
Work Environment
The work environment was very friendly.
The person managing the interns was always available to clear any doubts and help whenever I was stuck. I was given tips on most of the tasks.
There were specific deadlines but the work hours were not fixed.
All the communication used to take place through a WhatsApp group and weekly meetings through video calls also used to take place.
One-on-one feedback sessions were also given.
Good Things
I explored a very different field i.e. Sports law.
The internship became more interesting because I worked on a specific area of law for six weeks.
It built a strong base and improved a lot upon my legal research and writing skills.
Bad Things
I found nothing bad about the internship. Everything was good.
Stipend
No stipend
Details about accommodation and commute
It was an online internship.
Anything else?
My favorite task was to make twenty topics on sports law, that someone would want to refer to for research purposes in sports law.
I would recommend a law student to definitely intern at YLCC, where you will be guided at every stage and will get to learn a lot.
You might get to explore unconventional areas in the field of law.
