First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

We were given choice, to choose out of two departments, the first is ‘Research and Content writing internship’ and another is ‘Operations internship’.

After choosing the department, we got inducted into our respective groups. I chose the Operations internship.

We were told to first introduce ourselves subsequently, an introduction session was conducted, where we were informed about our work and tasks. There were three members in my team including me.

Main Tasks

In Operation Internship, we were supposed to conduct workshops, meets, and events. We were also told to find out a suitable speaker and a burning social issue for our main event, i.e., a final workshop.

We as a team worked together and did in-depth research and worked on the topic “Human Rights trade-off in recent conflicts, primarily during Ukraine- Russia war” for the final workshop, we formulated questions for the workshop and conducted virtual meetings on regular basis.

And within a month we finalized the speaker, the topic to be discussed and the questions to be asked. We conducted a workshop on the finalized topic and with this, our internship got ended. The mentors and team leaders were closely watching our work, progress, and efforts and helped us whenever we need any help.

We primarily worked on the topic “Human Rights trade-off in recent conflicts, primarily during Ukraine- Russia war”. The team members of my group did good teamwork and we completed our final event with the Hon’ble guest speaker.

Also, we got our internship certificate two days after the internship got over. The work was something I found interesting and we got adequate time to finish it. Apart from this, myself and one of my teammates got a LOR for this Internship. Overall, it was a very good experience, I got many good connections and contacts.

Work Environment

The organization constantly strives to provide quality work and environment to its interns. You will get proper guidance and assistance from mentors and team leaders.

Good things

Overall, it is a good organization to intern at. And you can count on it as it provides a great opportunity to its interns. One will learn teamwork; cooperation and the most important thing is that it will help you to improve your communication skills further.

It provides a great platform to explore your potential to lead and decide everything. The mentors and the team leaders are friendly and always available to help and guide you with your work. They provide proper guidance. The environment is not stressful as you and your team will be doing it in your own way.

Bad things

Though it was a really good experience, I felt that we got much time and conducted only one workshop as our final event, I think we could have conducted more workshops in that much time.

Stipend

No, it was not a paid internship so, I didn’t get any stipend

Anything Else

I got a LOR in this internship. And become more confident in my communication skills.

I think as a law student it’s really important to know how to connect and coordinate with people and as we all know good communication skill is a must for all law student and this internship help me get these skills.
